The ABCUL South West Chapter Board:
Supports ABCUL
Credit Unions across the South West region - Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Bristol,
Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.
In 2008 there are over 20 Credit Unions in the region.
These have over 10,000 members, providing safe use of over £5 million of
members’ savings and £3 million on loan.
The Chapter wants to ensure training
and peer support is available to the member Credit Unions and is hoping this
website increases awareness of the Chapter and members participation with
it.
Each Credit Union is an autonomous co-operative, owned and controlled
by its members. But working together and with other partners we aim to
bring strength and confidence to the Credit Union movement.
